Holographic TPU

Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) is a melt-processable thermoplastic elastomer with high durability and flexibility. Thanks to its thermoplastic nature, it has several benefits over other elastomers are unable to match. TPU has good resistance to oil, water and mycete, excellent recyclability.

Holographic TPU material is two outside layers of clear TPU material and one inside layer of colorful PET film. That three layers are stuck together and change to be colorful and semi-transparent holographic TPU material.

Generally, we have “blue” holographic TPU and “pink” holographic TPU because we have two colors of PET films. But if one outside layer of clear TPU material change to be tint TPU material. We can make holographic TPU same color as the outside layer of tint TPU. We can have green holographic TPU, black holographic TPU……

The TPU film we use for bags are 100% TPU material and It’s degradable. How does it manifest? The TPU material will be foggy or turn to be brown color about 6 month later after production. These phenomena indicate that it is being oxidized and decomposed. And TPU will naturally decompose in a year or two after being buried in the earth.
